Privacy notice

This notice explains how Gather collects and uses the information you give us when you join our waitlist. We keep it short because the scope is small: right now, all we collect is your email address.

Who we are

Gather is an early-stage product operated from the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR, the data controller is Gather. You can contact us at hello@gatherapp.uk.

What we collect

When you submit the waitlist form, we collect the email address you type in and a timestamp of when you joined. We do not collect your name, location, or any profile information. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to check you are not a bot; Cloudflare may process basic request metadata (such as your IP address) for that check. We do not store that metadata ourselves.

Why we collect it

We use your email address for a single purpose: to email you once, when Gather launches. That is the legitimate interest we rely on to process it. If we ever want to send you anything else, we will ask for your consent first.

How long we keep it

We keep your email until Gather launches and we have sent you the launch announcement. After that, we either migrate you into the product (if you sign up) or delete your waitlist entry within ninety days. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it. To exercise any of these, email hello@gatherapp.uk and we will respond within thirty days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
